Ling Qing hadn’t expected that they’d attend the same university, only that they’d be the same age. Then again, they were located in the same city, so the chances of attending the same university were small, but not unfeasible.

“What’s his name?”

“Shu Tong.” Yu Chen said. “I’ll show you his info when we get to the hotel. I asked someone to grab a sample of his hair and run a paternity test against yours. The chances of you being kin with him are higher than you and Ling Bai.”

Ling Qing nodded. “So I see. I’ll wait a few days and find the time to meet up with this kid.”

“You’re only going to meet him?” The light turned green, so Yu Chen continued to drive.

Qin Yanyu gave him a nod. “He’s not here?”

“Brother Ling and Mr. Yu went out.” Xiao Liu stated.

Not having expected this, Qin Yanyu immediately asked, “Then, when are they coming back?”

“You know what, if you have something to discuss, why don’t you wait until tomorrow, Sister Qin?”

After thinking about it, Qin Yanyu nodded and asked, “Can’t you ask him for me?”

Xiao Liu recalled how Qin Yanyu seemed to be on bad terms with Ling Qing over the past few days, and how she’d tried to bait him into making a mistake, so he merely smiled. “I’m afraid it’s inconvenient.”

With the same rationale, he continued, “As you are aware, he’s currently with Mr. Yu, and Mr. Yu doesn’t like to be disturbed, so I don’t dare.”

Once she heard this, Qin Yanyu didn’t make things difficult for him.

“Okay, then let me know when Ling Qing’s back.”

“Sure.” Xiao Liu nodded.

Qin Yanyu promptly returned to her room, having lost her appetite. She waited in her room for a long time, and even when the sky darkened, she didn’t hear any news of Ling Qing’s return.
